Tumnus
Today is a very sad day.
After doing my regular Saturday chores, I was assigned to clean out my hamster's cage.
Its always really nasty in there... so its not my favorite thing to clean.
Usually I pick up my hamster and rub it on my cheek or nose. And for some reason talk in a voice that weird adults usually talk to babies...
But this time was somewhat different. I picked up my hamster and yes it is alive. But, its eyes were closed and somewhat wet. Ya know how dogs get that sometimes? Anyways, once seeing this, I became worried...
Turns out my hamster is dying. I've had the guy for about 2 years and I freakin love that thing.
I started to cry. My mom then comforted me by giving me the whole "He had a wonderful life being with you." kinda speech. Which helped...
I mean when I think of those 2 years together... we had some good times.
With his cage came tunnels you could build... and heck yes we made that thing a fortress! It was killer. Me and my buddy also made a car for him out of lego... it had hydrolics and everything...
2 out of 3 brothers were scared of him and so was my father.... It was hilarious to put my hamster on their face while they were napping... priceless.
My hamster has also been present for big landmarks in my life. My birthdays, winters, summers, springs, me becoming a Christian and me professing my faith to my church.
One time, while my friend was over, she got to hold my little hamster. Obviously, he didnt like her very much and jumped out of her hands and landed on the floor. I started freaking out cause he was making weird sounds... right after he recovered I baptized him... He hasnt tried to commit suicide since.
At least I know he's going to heaven, right? ;)
Our journey together started when my brother came home with the fellow. He was talking about how he and his buddies were gunna put it in someones house from school. I always wanted a hamster and my mom wasn't in the mood to get ANOTHER phone call about my brother's troublesome soul. So, we saved him. :) A little vicous at first. We quickly drove to Wal-Mart to pick up a cage and the nesseties. That night this hamster became apart of my family!
With the wonderful name of, Mr. Tumnus <3>
